Nuria Montes pushes for international leadership in Ciudad de la Luz management

During the presentation of his department’s budgets, Nuria Montes, the regional minister overseeing Innovation, Industry, Trade and Tourism, laid out the 2024 homework. The Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI), the Community of Digital Transformation Projects (SPTD), and Benidorm Fest are expected to play pivotal roles in the coming year. A central move for Ciudad de la Luz involves managing the film sets through an international tender that favors experienced players in the audiovisual sector. By late July, six entities had expressed interest in Ciudad de la Luz, including the American MBS Group, Nu Boyana, Boftea Estudios, the British Stage Fity, and the Spanish firms Secuoya and Mediapro. Montes’ remarks on Wednesday indicated that the management contract would be awarded to one of these international contenders.
