The North Korean leader Kim Jong-un did not attend the funeral personally, which was held to mark the 11th anniversary of the death of Kim Jong Il, the nation’s former leader and father. This detail was reported by the agency CTAC.

A bouquet of flowers was placed before the statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, offered in the name of the respected comrade Kim Jong Un.

Traditionally, the anniversary ceremony for Kim Jong Il draws diplomats, representatives of international organizations, and North Korea’s political and military leadership to participate.

Kim Yo-jong, the sister of Kim Jong-un, was not present at the commemorative events alongside her brother.

Previously, Pyongyang Publishing Company released a book that criticized South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol and his government.

The work, titled “Race to Collapse,” runs 67 pages in three sections and portrays Yoon as ignorant, incompetent, proud, and overly confident.
