Today the National Prosecutor’s Office asked the Supreme Court to lift the immunity of four judges. These are the disciplinary prosecutors for judges of ordinary courts: Piotr Schab, Michał Lasota, Przemysław Radzik, and Jakub Izaniec, who serves as deputy spokesman at the Warsaw District Court. Dagmara Pawełczyk-Woicka, chair of the National Council of the Judiciary, pointed to an intriguing coincidence, noting that a communication from the National Prosecutor’s Office, Iustitia, and OKO Press appeared within moments of each other and included screenshots.
The case was announced by the spokesperson for the National Prosecutor’s Office, Prosecutor Przemysław Nowak, on the PK website. He explained that the motions requesting a decision on the authority to hold judges criminally liable were submitted to the Chamber of Professional Responsibility of the Supreme Court by a prosecutor from the Internal Affairs Department of the National Prosecutor’s Office.
The motions concern the authority to hold four judges criminally liable: Piotr Schab, the disciplinary prosecutor for judges of ordinary courts, and his deputies Michał Lasota and Przemysław Radzik; as well as Jakub Izaniec, the deputy disciplinary prosecutor at the District Court in Warsaw.
The request rests on findings from the investigation into abuse of powers related to the withholding and non-disclosure of files in disciplinary proceedings.
– stated prosecutor Nowak.

The screenshots show that two minutes after the public announcement, OKO Press and Iustitia published a link to the text of the website at roughly the same time, quoting the same fragment:
The Prosecutor’s Office has filed a request with the new chamber of the Supreme Court to waive the immunity of the chief disciplinary spokesman Piotr Schab and his deputies Przemysław Radzik and Michał Lasota. Jakub Izaniec, a judge from the capital, will also be charged.
The OKO press portal tagged journalist Mariusz Jałoszewski, winner of the 2021 Iustitia Award, in the entry.
