Gen Generalitat works with a network of commercial partners, social organizations, and Valencian institutions to promote the Valencian Community in Madrid. The Month of the Valencian Community in Madrid brings the region’s economy, culture, and tourism to the capital, with 12 events across 12 venues through June 28. A focal point of the program is the Alicante Bonfires Festival, scheduled for June 24, featuring a symbolic bonfire installation at the Sorolla Museum as a bridge from Madrid to Alicante.

The Month of the Valencian Community in Madrid serves as a gathering for residents to strengthen ties with Madrid society and to create a public space where economic and cultural momentum can be showcased. The goal is to foster projects that drive economic and social development. This intent was outlined by the Director General for Relations with Autonomous Communities and Institutional Representation, who emphasized that the initiative aims to highlight the Valencian offer—tourism, innovation, and culture—through direct dialogue between Valencian and Madrid audiences, inviting people to discover the region’s cultural richness.

The initiative is positioned within a broader Spain-wide commitment that highlights the Valencian Community as a leading voice in national affairs. Aiming to capitalize on a favorable moment for investment, the program notes a new era in the Valencian economy, marked by significant developments such as a major industrial project at Sagunto that signals a before-and-after in reindustrialization and investment attraction.

The managing authorities stress that the extraordinary circumstances surrounding these developments present an opportunity to explain the region’s tourism offerings and all its economic and innovative potential. The approach centers on dialogue among Valencia’s citizens, Madrid’s public, and visitors, with a clear invitation to explore the cultural wealth of Valencia.

The initiative is framed as part of a plural and diverse Spain, with strong backing from regional leadership, positioning the Valencian Community as an influential contributor on the national stage.
