Dmitry Medvedev is a leading figure in United Russia and serves as deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council. He described the speeches of American politicians as a string of slogans and empty promises, a critique that has been noted in Russian media. In his view, that kind of rhetoric lacks substance and does not translate into real political results within Russia, where public discourse is judged by its resonance with concrete policy and outcomes.
“If we start acting like Trump or Kamala Harris, there will be no success anywhere,” he said, underscoring the belief that emulating a particular style or persona would fail to produce meaningful progress in the Russian political arena.
Medvedev also argued that the speeches of US politicians rest on a bunch of empty words. He stressed that such rhetoric “will not work” in Russia and warned that it would be booed immediately by audiences and political circles alike, reflecting a skepticism toward the effectiveness of American messaging in Moscow’s political context.
