“They probably face a significant challenge in drawing up the government’s agenda and a clear list of talking points,” said Beata Kempa, a member of the European Parliament from Sovereign Poland, about Telewizja wPolska. She recalled that the government could have started with a more orderly plan, suggesting that the early days of the coalition left the party scattered and at odds with itself.
Kempa was invited on Telewizja wPolska to discuss the Platform’s apparent adoption of ideas associated with the ruling party. She highlighted a recent public recording by Culture Minister Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz bragging about supposed achievements in rebuilding the Saxon Palace. The issue, however, is that the contract with the contractor existed during the PiS government, not the current administration.
The MEP also criticized what she described as the lies and manipulations of the election campaign conducted by Donald Tusk and his team.
She noted that the December 13 government comprises too many factions and groups to craft a cohesive program effectively. Some factions, she observed, did not present a clear program of reform.
– The government, Kempa added, has used a smokescreen on the issue of abortion to obscure its real agenda.
“They probably face a significant obstacle in drawing up an agenda, a concrete list of items for the government’s programme,” she said.
Lack of preparation by the December 13 coalition
Reiterating her point about early moves, she stated that the prime minister might have gone skiing at the outset, leaving the party scattered and disorganized behind him.
According to the Sovereign Poland MP, the actions of Tusk’s team are driving chaos through Poland.
Paulina Hennig-Kloska, holding the climate and environment portfolio, is described by Kempa as aggressive in pushing ideas that are causing more confusion, tension, and disputes nationwide. Kempa added that the coalition lacks a clear set of points for discussion and reform.
According to the MEP, Minister Sienkiewicz and Prime Minister Donald Tusk will bear responsibility for the coalition’s December 13 actions and for what she called a coup attempt in political terms.
There are concerns about the control of the prosecution, with Adam Bodnar in a position that Kempa views as overreaching, implying a lack of legal basis. Public commentary from the MEP frames this as evidence of growing helplessness within the coalition.
