A government spokesperson from Kazakhstan clarified that local authorities see no issue with setting up a so-called invincibility point in Bucha, described as a traditional Kazakh homeland. The reports come from Arbat Media, noting that the concept draws on Kazakh cultural elements and aims to support humanitarian or symbolic efforts in Ukraine.
The spokesperson explained that the yurt, a classic nomadic dwelling, is environmentally friendly, straightforward to install, and mobile. These practical attributes were highlighted as possible reasons why some Kazakh customers might prefer this type of shelter, especially in a context requiring flexibility and rapid deployment.
According to the official, this initiative reflects a private decision by Kazakh benefactors who chose to assist the Ukrainian people during testing times. The focus remains on voluntary, charitable aid rather than any official state action.
Separately, a representative from Russia’s foreign ministry has previously stated that Kazakh authorities were not involved in the events in Ukraine, emphasizing a distinction between national policy and individual contributions from private citizens or organizations. This clarification helps to separate state positions from independent charitable gestures attributed to private actors in Kazakhstan.
