A plan to establish a dedicated team for monitoring the epidemiological situation was announced by Health Minister Izabela Leszczyna in a message posted on the ministry’s X profile. The team is intended to assess current developments, analyze data, and prepare actionable recommendations for the government and health services. The minister emphasized that the team would be composed of specialists and scientists from relevant fields who can provide independent, evidence based guidance. The ministry is actively gathering and organizing this group as part of their ongoing oversight of public health threats.

The minister also addressed why the public should pay attention to this initiative, noting that it reflects a structured approach to monitoring health risks rather than a one off announcement. The new team is presented as a formal element in the government’s health strategy, designed to improve responsiveness and transparency in handling epidemiological changes.

Order vaccine

Earlier, the ministry announced that the new Health Minister had authorized the procurement of an additional supply of vaccines, totaling two hundred thousand doses. Among these, eighteen thousand three hundred units are scheduled to be delivered in the near term, with the remaining quantity set to arrive subsequently. The vaccines in question are Nuvaxovid, manufactured by Novavax, and are intended to expand the country’s available stock for vaccination campaigns.

The health team explained that vaccination opportunities remain open to all eligible residents. The minister reiterated that vaccination is voluntary and provided at no cost through public health channels.

From December six this year, the Nuvaxovid vaccine, adapted to the XBB.1.5 coronavirus subvariant, will be available for use in basic immunization courses or as a booster dose. Eligible groups include individuals aged twelve and over who have not previously completed vaccination and those who have completed a prior vaccination course with at least six months passing since the last dose. The plan aims to support broad protection across the population while maintaining flexibility in response to evolving viral variants. The ministry stressed that vaccine uptake is a personal choice backed by public health guidance and accessibility.
