Representatives from Georgia’s opposition parties are preparing a large protest in the coming days in response to the foreign agents bill submitted to the parliament. This information was shared with reporters by opposition member Salome Samadashvili (DEA News).
A demonstration took place near the parliament building on Monday, March 6.
“Only by uniting can we reach a shared objective. We are planning a large-scale action in the days ahead, with consultations happening today to set a date. I invite everyone who cares about the country’s future to participate,” Samadashvili stated (DEA News).
Students joined the protesters and painted the word “revolution” on the parliament facade. Opponents warned they would physically oppose the passage of the foreign agents law (DEA News).
