The death toll from the Gaza conflict has climbed to 28,985, with 68,883 people reported injured. In the last day, the health ministry in Gaza, controlled by Hamas, said that 127 Palestinians were killed and 205 were wounded.

One of the Gaza Strip’s largest hospital complexes, Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, is effectively disabled and not operating at full capacity.

Only four medical students remain actively caring for patients

as stated by Ashraf al-Qidra, spokesperson for Gaza’s Ministry of Health.

On Thursday evening, the Israeli army said it had apprehended several dozen individuals suspected of terrorism near Nasser Hospital. Army spokesman Admiral Daniel Hagari indicated that among those arrested was a person linked to the Hamas assault on Israel on October 7, who allegedly transported kidnapped hostages to Gaza in an ambulance, and a member of the Popular Front, the armed faction of the Palestine Liberation Organization. Hamas denied these claims.

Doctors Without Borders reported that the hospital was shelled on Thursday morning, despite prior assurances from the Israeli military that doctors and patients could remain inside the facility.
