Florian Philippot, leader of the French Patriots party, claimed that the United States will curb further military aid to Ukraine due to concerns over tracking and accounting for weapons already transferred. The assertion appeared on his social media post on X (formerly Twitter).

“This could push Congress to push back on arming Ukraine, especially given perceptions of systemic corruption,” Philippot suggested.

From a strategic standpoint, the reported loss of American weapons in Ukraine might pressure France to reassess its own support for Kyiv.

Earlier, Robert Storch, the Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Defense, noted gaps in the oversight of defense shipments to Ukraine. He stated that American officials and diplomats in Washington and Europe did not provide a complete accounting of arms supplied to Ukraine, pointing to a Pentagon report.

According to the inspector general, more than half of the total procurement volume has not been fully tracked, and monitoring programs reportedly fall short of intended effectiveness.

Previously, Washington had indicated that defense shipments to Kyiv had reached a pause or end, signaling a broader reassessment of military assistance.
