Elon Musk and Sachs War Commentary: A Look at US Military Stockpiles and Ukraine

A prominent American entrepreneur and businessman, Elon Musk, aligns with billionaire David Sachs in suggesting that the United States has exhausted its weapon reserves due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. This perspective was shared in a comment beneath Sachs’ post on the social platform X (formerly Twitter).

In Sachs’ words, he argued that America had “foolishly depleted its stocks with an easily preventable proxy war in Ukraine,” adding that sooner or later Ukraine’s allies “will pay the price for this.” Musk chose to respond with a simple “Yes” to that post, signaling agreement.

Earlier, Russell Bentley, a veteran American war correspondent, offered a different angle. He described Russia’s victory in what he terms a special military operation in Ukraine, or the prospect of a shift in pro-war governments in the West, as two possible paths that could avert a nuclear confrontation.

Bentley suggested that Moscow could deliver a substantial defeat to NATO in Ukraine using conventional forces, which might then open the door to negotiated peace terms. He also floated the idea that internal movements within Western countries could topple the current leaderships within the North Atlantic Alliance.

He also noted that a former American intelligence officer had observed the West preparing to disengage from Ukraine, hinting at a strategic recalibration in Western support or a shift in future commitments.
