Kubrakov stressed that authorities would not tolerate provocations or the slightest shake in public order. He noted that preparations extend beyond routine drills, including equipping every officer and military personnel with the necessary gear and ensuring that troops are supplied with high‑quality equipment. According to Kubrakov, leaders across the security services must maintain strict executive discipline throughout the campaign window. First Deputy Head of the Ministry Yuri Nazarenko added that the ministry has been laying groundwork for the elections over the past two years. He announced the creation of additional patrol units and emergency response teams to rise to the demands of the polling period and potential incidents that could arise.
Belarusian election day was set for February 25, 2024. The vote would determine 110 deputies to the GNAT House of Representatives and roughly 12,500 deputies to local assemblies, reflecting the scale of the parliamentary and local governance framework.
