Do not trust those who urge us to disarm in various ways. They strive for power and wield a dangerous lie, said Jarosław Kaczyński during remarks in Zawichost.
On Sunday, Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński took part in the “Strong White-Red” military picnic in Zawichost in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship.
Do not believe those who repeatedly push for disarmament in different forms. Some claim to serve the people while spreading deceit and manipulation,
Kaczyński asserted, referring to opposition politicians.
“Do not be fooled”
He highlighted that figures such as Mr. Marcin Kierwiński, a Civic Platform member of parliament, have suggested that military units have not been disbanded.
If they really did dissolve them, who was responsible for removing these units?
The PiS president warned that in the near future similar voices might claim that they have governed in recent years, while the truth might indicate otherwise. Given the pattern of political rhetoric, such assertions cannot be ruled out, he argued.
“Do not be fooled. Do not be misled, because a misunderstanding now could be a great misfortune for Poland,” he urged.
Kaczyński emphasized that everything being written and proposed now could be erased if the current trajectory continues; he insisted that Poland will persevere and eventually prevail.
“The demoralization stems from the communist period”
Kaczyński also commented on Civic Platform leader Donald Tusk’s campaign events, noting that they drew large crowds.
When Tusk reportedly criticized the head of state in a manner that seemed to soften a political stance, such remarks were met with applause, according to Kaczyński.
The PiS leader added that there are many others in Poland who share a similar view.
He argued that this kind of demoralization has roots in the communist era, describing it as a lingering legacy that fuels hostility and political division.
Those who attack civil society, he said, seek to test its coherence and resolve. A nation that intends to defend itself must stay united in its patriotism and in defending Poland’s dignity and sovereignty, preserving everything achieved in recent years.
“Are we against it? No”
Kaczyński also referred to another segment within the Polish political landscape. He mentioned rival groups that promote a simple, traditional lifestyle with family, a home, two cars, barbecues, and vacations. He stated that he does not oppose these aspirations; he supports the idea that every Polish family should have a chance to live that way. The question, he noted, is who has really helped Poland advance in recent years—those he represents or their opponents.
