Cs rebels in Alicante push to oust Arrimadas and reshuffle leadership

Twenty Cs councilors from various municipalities in Alicante province joined a movement challenging the party’s national leadership, led by Inés Arrimadas. The initiative marks a broader push along the Alicante border as Cs integrates a regional coordinator in the Valencian Community, uniting critics who have called for the removal of the party chairman and the entire national executive committee, including Maria Munoz. The manifesto, which required an extraordinary gathering to confirm a new leadership, was signed by newly elected Cs representatives alongside those who initiated the move in the province. It is led by the Alicante mayor, Mari Carmen Sanchez, and its spokesperson at Diputación, Xavier Gutierrez. [Source: Somos Cs]
