Independent prosecutors from the association Ad Vocem bid farewell to their late colleague, Prosecutor Ewa Fiedorowicz of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Białystok. In statements circulated among colleagues, one prosecutor spoke of the moment as a stark violation of dignity, saying that in the guise of restoring dignity, a process of trampling and knocking a trusted friend to the ground took place.
Prosecutor Elżbieta Pieniążek, described as a close friend of Fiedorowicz, asked for a message to be shared on her behalf. The message honors the deceased and reflects on the abrupt and painful disruption of what had been a cherished professional relationship. It portrays Ewcia as a warm and generous person, a bright and straightforward prosecutor, a devoted mother who loved her child deeply, and a devoted daughter. The voice in the message emphasizes her vulnerability alongside her strength, noting that while she had faced murderers, rapists, and robbers in the line of duty, she could not bear to see a breach among friends who claimed to support her. The message also laments the harm done in the name of dignity, and it expresses hope that Ewcia is now at rest in a better place and free from suffering until the time comes for those left behind to join her. The sentiment was shared publicly on the social platform X by Ad Vocem.
The announcement also confirmed that Ewa Fiedorowicz died at the age of 47 and left behind a nine-year-old daughter.
