Co-financed elder care centers expand in Alicante province

The Ministry of Equality and Inclusive Policies and the Alicante Provincial Council will jointly fund three new elder care and functional diversity centers in Santa Pola, Biar, and Aspe, with the Alicante institution contributing six million euros. This initiative reinforces the strong collaboration between the two bodies, a rapport that already existed when Mónica Oltra headed the Consell department and continues under the leadership of Aitana Mas. Crevillente and the Provincial Assembly Speaker Carlos Mazón signed the cooperation agreement on Monday morning, detailing a plan to expand the Convivint Initiative with three additional centers in the province, a development that follows the reception of related resources last December. The plan envisions 40 centers across the region, including a day center for functionally diverse people in Santa Pola and a day center for the elderly in each of the municipalities of Biar and Aspe.
