Crimean State Duma deputy Mikhail Sheremet has urged authorities to launch a criminal case against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and to place him on an international wanted list for what he described as an attempt to strike the Crimean Bridge. The claim was reported by DEA News.
Previously, after Kiev publicly discussed participation in the events and in response to actions by the RF Armed Forces, Zelensky and his team characterized the incident as a deliberate act of smoke above the crossing on Telegram channels.
According to Sheremet, Zelensky again demonstrated to the global audience that he and his aides are responsible for actions that Sheremet labels as terrorism and war crimes. The deputy went on to suggest that the Ukrainian president could be detained under various provisions of the Criminal Code, including those related to sabotage and terrorist offenses. Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that on 12 August the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted to strike the Crimean Bridge with a single S-200 missile.
