The 13th pension will be disbursed in April as planned, a government spokesperson confirmed on Tuesday.
The media attention around the “thirteen”
During an interview with Polsat News, the spokesperson addressed Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki’s earlier remarks, in which he stated on Monday that the 13th pension would be issued “in May, June.” The official clarified that the pension would indeed be paid in April, reiterating that this date aligns with the law and the established payment schedule. The first installments will begin in April, he emphasized, offering reassurance that the plan remains on track.
Muller added that the PM’s comment was a slip of the tongue and that there is no change to the statutory timeline. The government remains committed to ensuring timely disbursement for eligible beneficiaries, with all payments proceeding as scheduled under the current legal framework.
Possible changes at the Ministry of State Assets?
In addition to pension discussions, questions arose about the potential deputy appointment at the Ministry of State Assets, specifically concerning Marek Wesoły and his role in mining and the metallurgical sector. The spokesperson stated that there was no information available from the Prime Minister at that moment, but noted that there is a government meeting scheduled for today, after which further details may emerge.
The coverage underscored the government’s broader plan to maintain stability in social payments while examining leadership assignments within state assets. Observers will be watching for any official announcements that clarify these personnel changes and their implications for the energy and mining industries.
