The Alicante Provincial Council has announced in the Official Provincial Gazette the call for the selection, by open competition, of three positions for secretary-inspector and the creation of a work pool to bolster the Municipal Assistance Service provided by the provincial institution.
The deadline for submitting applications, following the publication of the bases in the Official Gazette, is seven working days, giving interested parties until March 15 to submit their requests. Applications should be preferably submitted online, though it is also possible to do so at the Tucumán Offices by appointment.
Processing
The second vice president and head of the area, Marina Sáez, has reiterated, as she did earlier this week in the plenary session, the government team’s commitment to promptly address the staffing shortfall in the Municipal Assistance Service. This job offer demonstrates that solutions are being sought, but it should be remembered that these procedures involve processing steps and deadlines that must be met.
The issue, Sáez noted, arises because four of the eleven provincial staff members serving as secretaries-inspectors for towns with fewer than 500 inhabitants are currently on leave, a situation described as exceptional. The demand for the service has grown due to an increase in subsidies being launched.
Nevertheless, Sáez insisted that no municipality has been left unprotected and urgent requests are being attended. The Municipal Assistance Service has been a priority since the start of this term, and the government team is working with resolve to place the service at the most adequate levels.
She explained that with this new hiring process there will be new staff and a job pool to be used when needed. She also stressed that the Generalitat’s pool could be tapped if necessary, as its renewal work is already underway by the General Directorate of Local Administration.
Classification A1
The announced positions are included in the Local Administration officials scale with national habilitation, classified as A1 and on an interim basis. Applicants must meet the requirements outlined in the bases.
Finally, Sáez expressed her commitment to collaborate with all groups in the corporation within the Study and Monitoring Subcommittee of Subsidies to adopt measures that facilitate municipalities, especially the smallest ones, in processing subsidies.
In this context, the administration emphasizes that the new recruitment process will enable the council to count on fresh officials and a ready-to-use employment pool, and that, if needed, the Generalitat’s pool may be consulted during renewal, with ongoing work by the relevant directorate to keep processes current.
