In the Valencian Community, two coalitions hold registered status: the Federation of Valencian Community Parties and Alicante Won. The Alicante Provincial Election Board confirms these are the only two active alliances. As of last Friday at midnight, the statutory window for coalition declarations closed, and only these two blocs appeared in the official records. The landscape is shaped by the Federation of Local Parties, Gent de Dénia – La Xara and Jesús Pobre, together with the Citizens’ Renewal Movement, which are primarily active in the Marina region. The second coalition is Alicante Ghana and the Alicante Regional Party Citizens Hope along with Autonomous Parties. Both groups are regular fixtures at election events.

The candidacy period ends on Monday, April 24, and the official Bulletin will publish the list of parties and coalitions that have submitted their candidacies for the municipal elections a few days later.

In parallel, the Province of Alicante Bulletin published on April 12 the composition of the election boards. The district court will oversee the process, with Juan Carlos Ceren serving as the presiding attorney general. The bulletin also outlines the chairs and commissions created for the regional boards that supervise the judiciary. Among the central duties of the Central Election Board is the audit of the vote count. In addition, the Central Election Board, along with Penáguila and Beniardà, considers requests to explain the rise observed in the past months in two municipalities with populations under 2,000, for which responses have yet to be provided.
