Karol Nawrocki, a social candidate for President of the Republic of Poland, participated today in the National Local Government Conference in Rzeszów. He emphasized that the current law on the income of local government units deepens the division in Poland ‘A’ and ‘B’. Nawrocki stated his wish to sign a contract with local government officials, on the basis of which the new law must be prepared.

In his speech, he emphasized that he had so far visited more than 280 Poviates as part of the campaign; In everyone, he said, he said with local government officials who represented various political environments.

The president of the Institute of National Remembrance ruled that he is aware that the current law is the “foundation of work” by local government officials and “is the most important legislative instrument and mechanism for the functioning of local governments in Poland”, but unfortunately it has a major disadvantage. Because – as Nawrocki said – all financial resources were “thrown in one bag”.

Hence so many problems of many local governments in financing even education. All these things must be subject to specific correction. In my contract I suggest that I am a specific legislative initiative of the new law on the income of local government units, but I want you to be co -authors of this law

Nawrocki stated that – if he became president – he would be a “guardian and spokesperson for local government officials”.

The candidate spoke very favorably about the work of local government officials, who, in his opinion, are under pressure from their voters every day.

As Nawrocki noted, one of the biggest challenges of local authorities is demography and the depopulation of small and medium -sized cities. In his opinion, this process will not be able to stop without investments, eg gone, water and waste water or culture. He stated that such investments were implemented during the rule of the United Right, as part of programs such as the Strategic Investment Program or the Road Development Fund.

As Nawrocki emphasized, it is necessary to return to these programs and investments that are important for the local community.

According to the candidate’s opinion, programs that were implemented during the PIS rule had “no political colors”. According to Nawrocki, the current government has introduced politically to local authorities. “

The Act on the Income of Local Government Units must be easily improved by listening to the voice of local government officials, and not showing political razing and revenge, which unfortunately is the domain of the current government of Donald Tusk

Finally, the social candidate stated with the support of Pis that – if he wins – he plans to be such a president who will ensure the sustainable development of the entire country.

He added that local authorities are an important part of the national security of Poland, and the current government – as he assessed – is imposing more and more obligations without offering sufficient financial resources.
