Trzaskowski presented his proposal on Polsat News, where he reminded that lowering the health premium was the promise of his political camp.
I can guarantee that if I am the president, I will speed up the implementation of these common requirements. (…) Entrepreneurs expect it all. (…) If the premium is lowered, it will force even more serious active costs. (…) We have promised that the health contribution would fall and that you should be on your head to reform health care to seek the possibility of reducing certain costs
– He said.
These are simple things, eg to reinforce the system of registering for medical visits and their cancellation. The minister’s lady is working very hard on it

And what does the situation with regard to the financing of the health of Poland really look like? The data is at least disturbing. On February 4, 2025, the Polish news agency announced the latest Eurostat data on spending on preventive health care per head of the population. In Poland they amounted to only 22 euros and it was the lowest value in the European Union.
The EU Statistical Office published data for 2022. It shows that throughout the European Union, no less than 202 euros per person, with 6 %, was spent on a preventive medicine. Less than in 2021 (216 euros). The highest expenses were registered in Germany (458 euros per settlement), Austria (411 euros) and the Netherlands (312 euros)

Poland under the EU countries was the last place (22 euros), behind Romania (24 euros) and Bulgaria (31 euros). In the analyzed year, only 5 percent were spent on health prevention programs in Poland. More than a year earlier (21 euros per person in 2021)
