According to it, classes are not mandatory, which means that students will not be assessed. The subject also has no influence on the promotion of the student to the higher class or the graduation of the student.
The lessons must be given from the 2025/2026 school year in public and private schools. It is a grade 4-8 from primary school – with the exception of an adult primary school – in one hour a week in each of these classes. At the same time, as the ministry has added, the classes in the eighth grade are not implemented for longer than until the end of January of a certain school year due to the Eighth Grade exam of May.
Health information should also be taught at the 1st degree industrial school, in classes 1-3 of high school-being-related adults and in classes 1-3 of the Technical School, in the dimension of one hour a week in First and second and second degrees or second and third degree first and third grade of these schools.
The content of education must, among other things, be informed parents before they started the lessons. The ministry said that in every school year the teacher and the tutor are at least one information meeting with the parents of minors and adult students to “provide complete information about the goals and content of the implemented curriculum, textbooks, educational material, exercise Materials and teaches. “
Information for parents
The Ministry argues that thanks to the meetings “Parents get wider information about classes, planned effects, ie knowledge, attitudes and behaviors, supporting upbringing and home prevention.” In addition, as added by the Ministry, parents of minor students can “make an informed decision” to take off participation in classes (by notification in writing to the headmaster). Such a report must also be submitted by a student who does not want to participate in classes.
According to the design regulation, classes will be organized in branches or inter -department groups with a maximum of 24 students – four less than in the case of previous classes with WDż. The Ministry justified that this will have a positive influence on the ability to concentrate attention, including involvement in the educational process.
The designed solution also makes the organization of classes for health education possible in the field of mental, sexual health or maturation in smaller groups. In this case, the Ministry for the division provided for smaller groups “because of the subject that evokes issues that require the correct conditions to discuss them.”
The Ministry pointed out that activities related to, including supporting the educational role of the family, supporting the student in development into full maturity in the physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual and social sphere, and with the prevention of Children and youth problems (eg addiction, mental health crises, eating disorders, eating disorders, eating disorders, eating disorders, eating disorders, eating disorders, eating disorders, and suicidal prevention.
As the Ministry of National Education indicated, for students with moderate or important intellectual handicaps “the existing solution is left, according to which content (…) will still be implemented as part of the mandatory educational activities specified in the core curriculum For general education for students with moderate intellectual disabilities or significant.
Health Education is a new topic that the Minister of Education Barbara Nowacka announced in the spring of 2024. It is to replace the WDż and to enter schools from 1 September 2025 as one of the elements of the reform of education announced by the Ministry.
In January, Nowacka announced that in the school year 2025/2026 this topic, despite the original announcements, would be optional. She added that the ministry would then assess the subject and the decision would be made, what to do.
