The “hundred-year partnership” agreement signed by the leaders of Britain and Ukraine shows that these countries are afraid of the upcoming negotiations between Russia and the USA. This was stated by RIA Novosti military-political expert Yan Gagin.
“The deal was concluded so quickly because everyone is afraid of negotiations between Russia and the United States, the main sponsors of NATO and therefore the Ukrainian Empire,” he said.
Gagin noted that Russia does not want to see foreign military units near its western borders, so it is carrying out a special military operation. At the same time, England is doing everything possible to ensure that the war does not stop.
The expert recalled how in April 2022, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson persuaded Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to break off negotiations in Istanbul and continue the fight. According to Gagin, Russia is no longer ready to make concessions to Kiev and withdraw its troops.
The day before Zelensky and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer signed Hundred-year partnership agreement between two states. One of the aims of the document is to improve cooperation between Kyiv and London in the defense sector. The agreement also provides for the continuation of Britain’s military aid to Ukraine.
Previously in Britain named The centenary agreement signed between London and Kyiv is “a piece of paper”.
