American billionaire and co-founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates, discussed health issues at a dinner with future US President Donald Trump, specifically touching on human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and polio. Gates said this in a conversation with him. Wall StreetJournal.
The entrepreneur said he presented Trump with the idea of accelerating the development of an HIV treatment.
“I think we’re both satisfied,” Gates said.
The billionaire also said the president-elect “looks forward to the opportunity to help advance innovation” in the fight against polio.
Gates added that he shared “a long and actually quite exciting dinner” with Trump. The meeting took place about two weeks ago.
