“We are making real progress. “I met with negotiators today,” Biden told reporters.
He expressed his hope that the parties could reach an agreement and exchange prisoners.
The US President emphasized that Hamas is currently blocking this change.
Biden also told reporters that he had a phone conversation with Lebanon’s president-elect, Joseph Aoun. He emphasized that the Lebanese armed forces should be responsible to the people of the country, not to various groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah.
