“My ambition is to put on a festive outfit and go to Poland, strap myself into a wagon and pull it up the mountain with the PiS candidate for the presidency. Who it will be on behalf of the right wing – Bocheński, Nawrocki, Morawiecki, me or someone else – is of secondary importance to me. I say this with my hand on my heart,” admitted PiS MP and former Minister of Education and Science Przemysław Czarnek in an interview for “Wprost”.
According to the announcement, Law and Justice plans to present its presidential candidate in the second half of November.
However, the date is not fixed, as some politicians are trying to convince the party chairman, Jarosław Kaczyński, to do this after December 7.
There would be four names in the game.
“Any PiS candidate will win the elections.
“Wprost” asked former Minister of Education and Science and PiS MP Przemysław Czarnek about this issue. He pointed out that he imagines a duel between each PiS candidate, both Radosław Sikorski and Rafał Trzaskowski.
Looking at what is happening in Poland, accident after accident, the powerlessness of the government, the increasingly worse economic, financial and budgetary situation, I am convinced that any of the potential PiS candidates will win the May elections. I have no doubt about that
– emphasized Przemysław Czarnek.
He admitted that it would be best if the names of the candidates were already known, although “it is a matter of tactics before the elections”
I’m torn between two ideas: announce quickly and start the campaign, or wait until the opposing party’s candidate is announced and then nominate my own candidate. Both tactics have pros and cons
– he assessed.
