Hell is frozen over! The mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski, also sees himself as a defender of the border. Moreover, he stated that Germany’s mistake in 2015 was to give the impression that the country was ready to accept all migrants. But there were many more beautiful stories. “Maybe it was a mistake to say that everything would happen within 100 days, because this is a kind of optimism,” argued the “sincere” Trzaskowski.
A border defender who criticizes Germany. This happened!
During the meeting in Bielsko-Biała, Trzaskowski recalled the position of Prime Minister Donald Tusk. As he said, “securing the border is absolutely fundamental and the right to asylum may need to be temporarily suspended.”
Unfortunately, today we are not dealing with migratory pressure that would be spontaneous, but with an element of hybrid war. The Russians and Belarusians are using this element specifically to threaten our border, sow destabilization and scare us all. Today we say: the border is secured. In this way we send a signal to the whole world
– said Trzaskowski.
He added that Germany’s mistake in 2015 was to give the impression that the country was ready to accept everyone.
The whole world heard that they were ready to accept migrants. It is one thing to help refugees fleeing war, but it is another to send a signal that we can accept all economic migrants.
– said the president of the capital. He added that rather than securing the border, the Germans wanted to share responsibility. He recalled that Poland has accepted millions of Ukrainians and that we should not be expected to show solidarity.
According to the deputy head of the PO, “a debate should be started on the EU’s unwillingness to accept refugees at a time when this is being used as an element of war and destabilization.” In this context, he referred to Prime Minister Tusk’s proposal to temporarily suspend the right of asylum.
The point is to send a clear signal that we cannot be the object of a hybrid war
– he emphasized. He also pointed out that this position was already supported by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and by EU countries.
Abortion and colleagues from PSL
There were also ideological topics in which the PO vice-chairman could present himself as a liberal (or perhaps left-wing?) leader. When Rafał Trzaskowski was asked about the liberalization of abortion laws, he said that “the change of president will create pressure.” As he said, he often heard the opinion, also expressed by PSL MPs, that they would not oppose a section of their voters if the President did veto the liberalization of the abortion law.
If there is a president who wants to support liberalization, this argument is eliminated. It seems to me that – even in this Sejm – there is a chance to adopt these kinds of provisions
– he said.
And that’s not the end yet. When asked about the introduction of the euro in Poland, the politician said that we are not ready for it yet. Something great!
Nobody wants to adopt the euro at the moment. The truth is that we, Poland, have decided to include this in the Accession Treaty. Fortunately, we will choose when (it will happen). Maybe in twenty years; maybe longer or shorter. We have to say to ourselves: if we want to be safe, the introduction of the euro is one of the most important arguments, because everyone will come to defend someone who has adopted the single currency. Today we are not ready for this
– Trzaskowski emphasized.
Platform propaganda
But in the end, the typical story had to be used directly from the PO propaganda, although this was so strongly contradicted in the face of the legal anarchy and the violation of the constitution by the government of Donad Tusk.
The presidential election will be so incredibly important because it is just the icing on the cake. It will be a real restoration of democracy, because there will be no president who can veto everything.

I think it’s better, even if we’re all impatient, to wait a few months and do it [przeprowadzić zmiany związane z TK i tzw. neo-sędziami – red.] in accordance with the Constitution, in such a way that the fly no longer sits
– he continued defiantly.
100 days
Although at the same time Trzaskowski had to admit that promises such as increasing the tax-free allowance had not been kept.
However, no one expected the budgetary situation to be so bad
– he added, looking for an excuse.
But we did not give up on this promise and perhaps it was a mistake to say that everything would happen within 100 days, because this is a kind of optimism.
– said Trzaskowski, who at the same time promised that the government intends to keep all its promises.
It must be admitted that Rafał Trzaskowski’s stories are exceptionally ‘interesting’, enough to make one suspect that the mayor of the capital… has just started a campaign.
