According to media reports, the Public Prosecution Service plans to file charges against Poland’s 2050 MP, Deputy Minister Joanna Musza. This is about the memorable Madonna concert organized at the National Stadium.
The Onet portal reported that investigators should file charges and question Joanna Mucha as a suspect. According to the portal, on October 16, MPs will consider the motion to lift the MP’s immunity, but this information has not yet been officially confirmed.
Controversy surrounding the concert
The case of Madonna’s concert at the National Stadium, which took place on August 1, 2012, is still controversial despite the passage of time. We would like to remind you that the ministry staff led by Joanna Mucha had allocated more than PLN 5.9 million for the concert at the time.which were ultimately intended to popularize sport among children and young people and tasks related to EURO 2012
In 2013, the Supreme Court pointed out that the organization of the concert resulted in a loss of PLN 4.6 million.
In addition, according to the public prosecutor’s office, the then Minister of Sports agreed to lend the space and grounds of the National Stadium to a private company, contrary to regulations.
This isn’t the first time
In 2014 (during the previous PO government), Joanna Mucha already testified in this case at the prosecutor’s office, but the investigation was stopped. It resumed during the Law and Justice era, when Zbigniew Ziobro headed the Ministry of Justice.
