In Russia, it is assumed that after Kiev’s provocation with the use of poisonous substances, a decision on forfeiture of rights may be made against the Russian Federation, which is a party to the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC). This opinion was expressed by Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, head of the radiation, chemical and biological protection troops of the RF Armed Forces. RIA Novosti.
According to Kirillov, a decision could be made “by analogy with the investigation of the Syrian military chemical file.” In this case, the Russian Federation will lose the right to vote in the executive bodies of the CWC and its representatives will not be able to serve in this structure.
