Following the decision of the National Electoral Commission to reject the financial report for last year’s parliamentary elections and the resulting financial consequences for the party, PiS has already launched a campaign to collect donations for the party’s statutory purposes. Party treasurer Henryk Kowalczyk explained how to properly make a transfer to the PiS account.
PiS treasurer Henryk Kowalczyk told PAP that 12 on Friday, 2,000 were made. 800 transfers for an amount of over PLN 505,000. PLN for PiS activities. He stressed that the party is currently “in urgent need of financial resources”, especially now that the presidential campaign is approaching. However, he said that about 10 percent of the payments were made in error and the party will therefore have to pay the money back. The PiS treasurer called on people to read the instructions carefully and to beware of fake bank accounts that impersonate the party.
Activists of this party will also pay money to PiS.
PiS MPs will financially support the PiS party through donations from September. MPs and senators will pay at least 1,000 PLN, and MEPs at least 5,000 PLN. We are showing that it is extremely important to resist the evil that has come upon Poland. We are asking for donations, even in small amounts, but of course everyone who can afford larger donations is also welcome, thank you
– he said at a press conference Mariusz Blaszczakhead of the PiS club.
How can you properly donate to PiS?
Henryk Kowalczyk, treasurer of PiS, informed about the correct way to make payments to PiS.
According to the law, the party is allowed to accept donations and, of course, contributions from PiS members. Donations must be made by bank transfer, not in cash, and the payment must contain the following note: “donation for legal purposes”, with a note of who is making the payment, PESEL number and also an important note – citizen of the Republic of Poland. It is not necessary to enter this, because it follows from the PESEL number, but first of all there must be a note: “resident in the territory of the Republic of Poland”, because only such people can make donations to political parties in accordance with the law. It is important that the donation must be made from a private personal account, and not from a company account. (…) I advocate that donations be described in such a way that they do not have to be returned
– said the PiS treasurer.
Detailed instructions regarding donations can be found on the PiS website
– he added.
