FBI says Trump attacker has been looking for a target for months

Thomas Crooks, who attempted to assassinate Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, spent several months investigating key events before attacking the politician, the agency reported Reuters Quoting FBI Special Agent Kevin Rojek.

Crooks allegedly searched for information about Trump and current US President Joe Biden more than 60 times before signing up for the politician’s rally, according to the agent. The shooter had several incidents in mind, according to the FBI.

Rojek also added that Crooks was “hyper-focused” when the presidential candidate’s rally was announced.
