In the first half of 2024, much higher prizes were awarded in the Chancellery of the Sejm than in the same period a year ago under PiS – according to an article in “Fakt”.
In the first six months of 2023, when Elżbieta Witek was Speaker of the Sejm, only 57 bonuses were awarded to officials of the Chancellery of the Sejm. In total, officials received PLN 167.4 thousand zlotys in this regard. Neither the management of the office nor the Presidium of the Sejm received the money. The average value of the award was PLN 2,936.69 gross.
It turns out that Marshal Szymon Hołownia is much more generous in awarding prizes.
In 2024, 514 prizes were paid out for a total gross amount of PLN 3,602 thousand. zloty
