KO MP Roman Giertych announces purges among judges. “We need all neo-judges to unequivocally withdraw from judging,” Giertych wrote on the X platform, adding: “and that will be the case.” At the same time, he demands that Judge Dagmara Pawełczyk-Woicka return all her salaries for the time she headed the National Council of the Judiciary. “If this is not a joke… what is it? A threat? To 3,000 civil servants?” – Pawełczyk-Woicka replied. Deputy Prosecutor General, Prosecutor Michał Ostrowski advised Giertych to take a cold shower and return to the room.
The case began with a bizarre “decision” by Judge Maciej Ferek of the Krakow District Court. A member of the highly politicized “Iustitia” association declared in writing that in the future all rulings by judges appointed by President Andrzej Duda in legal transactions should be considered “non-existent”.

The fight for the rule of law enters a new phase
– noted the head of the National Council of the Judiciary, Judge Dagmara Pawełczyk-Woicka, who clarified what Fertak meant in the following contribution.
For those who didn’t get it. All the judges mentioned in the operative part of the judgment are judges of the Krakow Court of Appeal. They were appointed by President Andrzej Duda at the request of the National Council of the Judiciary. However, the National Council of the Judiciary does not recognize this court, and therefore this “court” has decided in the future to exclude the judges mentioned from hearing any appeals that may be filed in this case. Cool, right? For those who think it’s PiS’s fault. Oh holy naivety! Do you really think that the law on the National Council of the Judiciary will be the last act that the judges didn’t like? I bet this is just the beginning. The genie has only just begun to let out the bottle…
