The Ministry of National Defense has announced that the Agency Agency has signed a contract for the purchase of 3 reconnaissance satellites that will provide information to the Polish army. The whole is PLN 860 million.

The Agreement signed by the arms agency with a consortium consisting of Iceye and Military Zakłady ączności No. 1, applies to the reconnaissance satelling system that will provide the Polish army of reconnaissance data – images of high quality of the earth’s surface.
Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized after signing the contract that, thanks to the purchase of 3 satellites for PLN 860 million, obtains independence in the field of satellite image.

The head of the Ministry of National Defense stated that the contract for the Satellite Earth Observation System offer means complete independence of our country in monochrome imaging, which makes recognition possible, regardless of the weather conditions, cloudy or time of the day.
According to the agreement, the consortium consisting of the Polish company Iceye and Zak No. 1 will offer the army new reconnaissance capacity, based on the data sent by satellite, specially placed in the track. It is about reconnaissance satellites with the help of the so -called radar with synthetic aperture.
