Donald Tusk announced the alleged success of economic growth in the second quarter of 20204. His entry was heavily criticized by users of the X website.
Everyone was surprised by the growth of the Polish economy in the second quarter of this year. It should have been 2.7, but now it is 3.2. We are better than all the big EU countries, and we are beating the Germans
– wrote Donald Tusk.

Response on the internet
Donald Tusk’s words caused a wave of reactions on the Internet. Users of the X-portal spared no criticism of the prime minister.
Prime Minister, maybe something else about inflation, because the Central Bureau of Statistics has just announced that it has gone up from 2.6% in June to 4.2% in July, and that your government’s policy is triggering an inflationary spiral. Coming back to GDP growth, it is somehow not translating into budget revenues, mainly from VAT. Have the VAT carousels returned?
The only thing I see here that everyone is defeating is inflation, your government.
Eight months of depressing, destructive for Poland and disastrous for Poles, the reign of Donald Tusk is over. The Coalition of December 13 is unable and at the same time does not want to govern effectively: development projects are delayed or liquidated, the leap in civilization investments in local Poland is suspended, and the standard of living begins to deteriorate. It is worth recalling at what point of development our country was at the end of 2023, when Law and Justice took power. Some specifics and facts: Unemployment in December 2023. amounted to only 2.7% and was thus the second lowest in the European Union -> Eurostat data. The real increase in income of Poles (note, taking into account cumulative inflation) in 2019-2023 was 9.4% – it was the third highest result in the EU (for comparison: the income of Germans fell by 2% during this period -> OECD data. The debt of the entire public sector according to the EU methodology amounted to about 49% of GDP in 2023. Despite the gigantic global crises (pandemic, war in Ukraine, energy crisis), this indicator was lower than at the end of the PO-PSL government in 2015, when it fluctuated around 52% of GDP. During the second term of the PiS government (2019-2023), Poland achieved the highest GDP growth among European OECD members: it amounted to as much as 11.2% ‼️ when, for example, Germany registered a recession. In Europe, only much poorer Croatia recorded slightly higher economic growth. To be honest, but with regret, it must be admitted: the election decision of October 15, 2023. it was an interruption of the path to dynamic development, pro-Western modernization in terms of investments, energy sovereignty and the level of prosperity of Poland as in the West. We can still return to this path of economic progress and ambitious development, but this will absolutely not be possible with the current government.
The terminal lies, the CPK lies, the atom lies. Energy prices go up, so the cost of living goes up.
Dear Prime Minister, big applause and congratulations! There is already so much prosperity on the Vistula River that even Spanish journalists come here to look for work and a wife in Poland.
All the success is still an echo of the previous government! Now the poverty is getting worse month by month and the state budget is already empty halfway through the year! You have nothing to celebrate!!!
We are right, Mr. Prime Minister, we have one of the most expensive electricity sources in Europe, fuel costs 5 PLN, oh no, sorry, I was daydreaming at almost 7 PLN, the construction directive is in the offing, and Ukraine is on the way In the offing you are right: we are beating Europe and the Germans are jealous of us.
I don’t know what to do with the money anymore.
I am surprised by the rising cost of living. Just saying PiS PiS PiS will not change anything. Oh, I am asking for information about Izer – I am asking for the 32nd time.
And Dżony Łojlker comes out of the taps.
Everyone is also surprised by the increase in electricity, water and inflation prices. Cub Scouts!
