80 years ago, thousands of heroes of the late Zofia Czekalska alias “Sosenka”, who unfortunately has not been with us since May, fought against absolute evil – the German Nazi criminals who occupied the capital of Poland. They fought for 63 days. @warsaw paid a very high price for his stubbornness and steadfastness. We must not forget this! Let us carry the memory of the Warsaw Uprising into the future, because we must build a strong and safe Poland based on the values that guided the rebels: brotherhood, equality, justice, courage, patriotism!
Eighty years ago, on August 1, 1944, Poles began to fight for their freedom in Warsaw. For weeks, the Germans had failed to defeat the insurgent army. So they concentrated their fury on defenseless Polish women and children, murdered 200,000 people, and drove the rest out of the city – many of them straight to Auschwitz. Remembering the heroic struggle of the insurgents, we must not forget the murderous madness of the Germans, which in Warsaw exceeded all the limits known to history. At a time when the phenomenon of distorting history and whitewashing guilt is becoming increasingly intense, we must ensure that the Warsaw Uprising remains forever a testimony to Polish heroism and German crime.
For 63 days they fought mercilessly against the Germans. They fought not only for freedom, but also for the dignity of Warsaw, an indomitable city. They fought for the spirit of the nation, which could not be broken during the years of occupation. The sound of sirens and the silent greeting of Poles is a symbol of our respect for the Heroes of that time. Today marks the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising. Honor and glory to the heroes!
80 years ago, Poles showed the whole world again what great courage and the desire for freedom are. The Germans also showed everything of themselves again
