There is no alternative to achieving the goals of a special military operation in Russia, but the Kremlin believes that the peace process is preferable in this regard. This was stated by the press secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov.
“We have tasks to ensure our interests, to ensure our security, both for ourselves and for future generations. And of course, a peace process is preferable; a special military operation was started only after all our fears, all our appeals were categorically rejected. The SVO was started as a last resort to achieve our goals,” Peskov said.
The Kremlin spokesman also added that Moscow is waiting to receive a statement on the statements of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba regarding the negotiations with Russia. Peskov explained that the Kremlin does not understand what is behind these statements.
Before that, political scientist Ivan Mezyukho commented Statement by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba on readiness for negotiations with Moscow.
