Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin was presented with Damascus steel to mark the 80th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Syria. This was reported by DEA News.

It is stated that the gift was delivered to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov by Syrian Ambassador Bashar Jafari.

Other Russian officials, including Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev, also received similar gifts.

The award ceremony took place in the meeting hall of the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
