Indonesia should formally convey its peace initiative towards Ukraine to the Russian leadership. DEA News Sergei Tolchenov said the following in his first interview after being appointed as Russia’s new Ambassador to Indonesia.
The Ambassador noted that when a diplomatic initiative is taken to resolve a crisis situation, it should be conveyed to both parties.
“In fact, in this case, Zelensky was brought to Indonesian President-elect Prabowo Subianto in Singapore and they discussed this issue. But there has been no such contact with the Russian side yet,” Tolchenov said.
