It makes your hair stand on end how many prosecutors are willing to break their own backs to carry out political orders – said PiS MP and former Deputy Minister of Justice Michał Woś at a meeting of the Rules Committee, referring to the content of the prosecutor’s request to waive his immunity.
The Committee on Parliamentary Rules for Deputies and Immunity Matters is considering the National Prosecution’s request for permission to hold PiS club member Michał Woś (Sovereign Poland) criminally liable. The motion, which was submitted to the Sejm at the end of May, is related to the investigation by the National Public Prosecutor’s Office into the expenditure of funds for the purchase of Pegasus-like software from the Justice Fund, as well as the expenditure of public money for the purchase of a license for using the Pegasus system.
During the committee meeting, Woś said the 28-page application from the Public Prosecution Service was “full of sloppiness” and did not show “any signs of a crime”. According to him, the application was prepared “for political use before the European elections.”

Woś has nothing to blame himself for
According to him, this is evident from, among other things: blinding the media with words about his personal gain. He added that this was not stated in one sentence in the prosecutor’s petition. As he noted, the same applies in the case of financial benefits, which consisted in the fact that “the CBA received legal financing, as a result of which the Polish state was no longer deaf and blind to criminals and criminals.”
We must clearly ask ourselves: what damage has been done to the common good? What harm has been done to him?

The Sejm is likely to consider the committee’s report on the motion to lift Wosi’s immunity on Thursday; on Friday – vote.
In 2017-2018, Woś was deputy head of the Ministry of Justice in the United Right government. He was authorized by the then Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro to act as administrator of the Justice Fund. In September 2017, Woś submitted an application to the Ministry of Finance to amend the financial plan of the Justice Fund. The amount of PLN 25 million was transferred to the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau and used to purchase the Pegasus system.
The committee stopped its work
The committee previously did not have time to vote on the proposal 13, which is scheduled for consideration and advice on the report on the implementation of the 2023 state budget for the Public Finance Commission.
Therefore, the chairman of the committee, Jarosław Urbaniak (KO), decided that the vote on the motion on the immunity of MP Woś would take place after the committee discussed the report on the implementation of last year’s budget.
