According to unofficial reports by the weekly Wprost, Law and Justice will merge with Sovereign Poland and change its name before the presidential election. “If there are no unforeseen circumstances, let us unite before the presidential election,” says an anonymous SP politician.
The White and Red Parties – under the names Law and Justice and Sovereign Poland – will merge before the presidential elections – the weekly Wprost reports unofficially. As we will learn later, information about the merger had already been announced.
Unless unforeseen circumstances arise, let us unite before the presidential elections
– an anonymous politician from Sovereign Poland tells the magazine’s journalist, who believes it is necessary to ‘unite’ the United Right:
Then PiS will change its name to Biało-Czerwoni
Which candidate?
What ‘unforeseen circumstances’ is the ‘Wprost’ informant talking about? According to the weekly, the appointment of former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki as a presidential candidate could be an obstacle to unification.
Due to the merger between the parties, SP will no longer field its own candidate. What about the start of Patryk Jaki?
According to our information, politician [Patryk Jaki – p.o. przewodniczącego Suwerennej Polski i europoseł – przyp. red.] He believes he still has a lot of time to run for an election that is as important as the presidential election
– writes the weekly, noting that Patryk Jaki’s relationship with PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński is improving. The former deputy prime minister notes that voters are dependent on the younger generation of United Right politicians, as evidenced by the European Parliament elections.
From the point of view of the leading politicians of the United Right, the future appointment of positions in the leadership of the party will be decisive.
The direction the party will take will depend on who is in charge
– we are reading.
