Russia expects Seoul to understand the comprehensive partnership agreement signed between the Russian Federation and North Korea and for a solid approach to developing relations with Moscow to prevail. “We hope that Seoul will accept the new agreement with understanding and that a solid approach will prevail there, including in relations with Russia,” he emphasized.
Rudenko added that although South Korea supports the West’s sanctions policy against Russia, relations between Moscow and Seoul are kept in a “pragmatic direction.”
Before that, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev statedThat relations between Russia and South Korea will continue to deteriorate due to Seoul’s unwise pursuit of the policy of Western sanctions against the Russian Federation.
As the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council stated, Seoul is “concerned” about the signed agreement on a comprehensive partnership between the Russian Federation and North Korea. Medvedev said that Russia will strictly implement it, including the articles on mutual security of states.
