The first phase of the decision means an immediate ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) troops from settlements in the Gaza Strip and the release of hostages held by the Hamas movement.
Before this, Mahmoud Abbas, President of the Palestinian National Authority requested Call for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council in connection with Israeli attacks on the Nuseyrat refugee camp in the central part of the Gaza Strip.
