“There is an opportunity for a European Parliament that will speak with the voice of Kowalski and Nowak,” PiS member Ryszard Czarnecki said on Telewizja wPoland.
Migration pact. Was Tusk outplayed?
French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal boasted in a televised debate on France 2 that he managed to convince the countries of Eastern Europe to sign the migration pact.

The interviewer, Aleksandra Jakubowska, who quoted the French Prime Minister’s statement on Telewizja wPolska, pointed out that some even translate these words as “coercion”.
As he called it, that’s what he called it. What counts is the effect, and that is dramatically bad for Poland and the countries in our region
– replied PiS member Ryszard Czarnecki.
The fact that those in power in Poland are talking to us and proving that it is good when it is bad, what we have heard, for whom it is good, for France, for the countries of the ‘old’ EU, is not good for us. On the contrary
– added.
As the politician emphasized, the sincerity of the French Prime Minister shows a certain context of government propaganda in Poland.
If it were great, why did the government vote against it? And where are we the ‘beneficiaries’, as Minister Sikorski says. Complete fairy tales!
– Said Czarnecki.
Can this be unscrewed?
Ed. Jakubowska asked her guest whether this will change if the balance of power in the European Parliament changes?
Naturally. I would like to remind you that the European Parliament, which then had fewer powers than now, there was no Lisbon Treaty for more than twenty years (…) which – in the sense of political pressure – required the resignation of the entire European Commission in forced the body. If we as the European Parliament could force the resignation of Mr Jacques Santer’s Commission, why couldn’t we block something that has not yet started, in the sense of its functioning, because it should start in 2026? Or why wouldn’t this new European Parliament actually block the Green Party Order? I think so
– said the PiS member.
If this European Parliament has the political will to do it, it will do it. From what we hear, at least in pre-election announcements, few people want this Green Deal, even if they voted for it before. If they maintain this position after the elections and do not want to fool the voters of the People’s Party, the Liberals or the Socialists, we should throw it all in the trash.
– he said.
These will be unique choices
Ryszard Czarnecki also judged that the upcoming European Parliament elections will be exceptional. Why?
This is my fifth campaign. It has never happened before that the people I meet, at political meetings, at markets or when handing out leaflets, did not have so much knowledge about the European Union (…). Their knowledge about the Green Deal, about migration policy, about this political revolution, about treaty changes is really such that I am proud of my potential voters. Poles really know a lot about the European Union, also because the EU has made such a fuss that they simply decided they needed to know what it actually is.
– he said.
I think this will be a unique election, where those hostile to the media, the political establishment and business will show themselves. There is an opportunity for a European Parliament that will speak with the voice of Kowalski and Nowak
– said MEP Czarnecki.
