The Law and Justice Club met this afternoon at the group’s headquarters in Warsaw for a special meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to mobilize PiS parliamentarians ahead of the European Parliament election campaign.

According to politicians interviewed by PAP, the issue of summarizing the results of the local government elections is likely to be discussed at the meeting. However, the main topic will be the strategy for the European Parliament election campaign.

Mobilization
Other PiS politicians emphasized that the purpose of the meeting was primarily to mobilize before the EP elections. PiS is currently finalizing the candidate lists for the European Parliament elections. The Political Committee will meet on Thursday to approve candidates for the EP lists. PiS spokesman Rafał Bochenek said on Wednesday that “the final work on the lists will take place in the coming days.”
On Saturday in Warsaw, Law and Justice will organize a conference “Liberating Poland in the light of the European Union’s treaty changes”, which will inaugurate the group’s election campaign for the European Parliament.

– said Bochenek. The convention will feature several thematic discussion panels, in which PiS politicians will participate in addition to experts. The event also includes a speech by the group’s leader. This year’s European elections will be held in several EU countries from 6 to 9 June. On June 9, Poles will elect 53 members of the European Parliament.
