“He is a man who is trying to swim in the European mainstream, to imitate the strong and powerful,” Mariusz Kamiński said on television in Poland.
Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik commented on the current government’s plan to liquidate the Central Anti-Corruption Office.
A specialized anti-corruption agency is essential in any modern democratic country. The liquidation of this service is an attack on the security of the Polish state. They hoped that in 2007, when they dismissed me from my position, they would shape this service in their own way. And this is the only service in free Poland that has been built from scratch. The human material turned out to be very strong. These people survived the times of PO and when they got the green light, they took action. No Wojtunik could destroy this service. They know they have to destroy the entire human team, create something fictional. Many people have already left the CBA. These are huge losses. Excellent professionals left the service. The liquidation of the CBA is a crime against the Polish state
– said Mariusz Kamiński.
Maciej Wąsik pointed out that the liquidation of the CBA would, among other things, mean the transfer of some of the tasks of this agency to the Internal Security Service.
This weakens the Agency. (…) EU regulations require Member States to have a specialized service. (…) The president will not sign this bill. They will try to starve the CBA
– he said.
Tusk’s actions
Mariusz Kamiński commented on Donald Tusk’s actions as follows.
Tusk is mentally constructed this way. This is not a man who thinks in terms of an independent Poland. He is a man trying to swim in the European mainstream, to imitate the strong and powerful. (…) Tusk has always been very close to the German establishment and owes a lot to him. (…) This man is not mentally sovereign. For him, the categories of sovereign Poland and Polish interests are inherently suspect
– he argued.
Maciej Wąsik drew attention to government actions that could have a negative impact on the country’s development.
Construction of the CPK was suspended. This is a crime. It’s like stopping the construction of Gdynia before the war
– he said.
