Trzaskowski on stage
On Friday evening, Rafał Trzaskowski, the mayor of Warsaw and deputy head of the PO, supported the president of the capital of Lower Silesia, who is seeking re-election, during an election rally on Wrocław’s market square. He appeared on stage with Sutryk and the head of the Lower Silesian PO, Michał Jaros.
The capital’s mayor pointed out that the local government’s last term was in “difficult times”.
Two years of the pandemic, war on our eastern border, the PiS government took billions from our budgets, and yet our programs were implemented and Jacek implemented his program for Wrocław.
– said Trzaskowski.
He added that “at a time when local government was under attack by the previous government, Jacek Stryk supported everyone who was under attack.”
We went with you through the streets of your towns and cities in defense of women, minorities, teachers and Jacek was always there. And today I want to ask you this: give some of this energy to Jacek
– emphasized the mayor of Warsaw.
He appealed to “honor the energy of all local government officials who are independent and have a moral backbone.”
It’s always the case that when someone new comes along, we wonder if we can trust him with the reins and responsibility. But we really live in difficult times today and Wrocław should be governed by someone who knows this city, loves this city, knows how to arrange money and make investments.
– said Trzaskowski.
He added that where there is a chance of “good continuation”, this continuation must be ensured, and where change is needed, it must take place.
No one knows Wrocław and your needs better than Jacek Sutryk
– said the deputy head of PO.
He also called on Wrocław residents to take part in Sunday’s vote.
The most important thing is that it is your decision; If we calmly reflect on the performance of the last term, I am convinced that Jacek Sutryk will win these elections
– said Trzaskowski.
During Friday’s election rally, the mayor of Warsaw also spoke about the head of the Lower Silesian PO, MP Michał Jaros. He portrayed him as a hardworking politician with a vision.
When you have your own vision, it’s difficult to step back and say: this is how we want to work together. I hope that Michał Jaros will become the Marshal of the Voivodeship and that the cooperation will be brilliant
– noted Trzaskowski.
Jaros emphasized that KO won the elections in Wrocław and Lower Silesia.
I guarantee that as the future Marshal of Lower Silesia I will work together and we will develop the best program for Wrocław, the agglomeration and the Wrocław Metropolitan City.
– said the head of the Lower Silesian PO, calling for participation in Sunday’s elections.
Sutryk refers to October 15
President Sutryk, in turn, emphasized that Wrocław is a city of “freedom and solidarity”.
This is the city that said on October 15: enough is enough: we want a free, democratic, self-governing Poland
– he said. He emphasized that he has been working for Wrocław for 18 years.
Sutryk thanked for passing the term and the election campaign.
Thank you for letting us talk together about our city and the challenges we face, because I know we still want to take care of this city together. If this is the case, let’s all go to the polls on Sunday – let’s take advantage of democracy’s greatest right: the right to decide.
– added the president.
I wonder how Third Way politicians will respond to the statement of an important Civic Platform politician. After all, the candidate of this formation is Jacek Sutryk’s rival in the second election round. Will there be another clash?
