The European Union considers it necessary to urgently provide Ukraine with air defense systems and all the military assistance it needs. This was stated in the final declaration of the informal summit of EU presidents and governments in Brussels. TASS.
“The European Council emphasizes the urgent need to provide Ukraine with air defense capabilities and to accelerate and intensify the provision of all necessary military assistance, including artillery shells and missiles,” the statement said.
The document also mentions intensifying the provision of humanitarian aid to Ukraine and supporting efforts to protect civilians.
The steps necessary to achieve this goal are planned to be discussed at the next meeting to be held at the level of European Union foreign ministers and defense ministers on Monday, April 22.
